Programs


Sri Gayatri Tapobhoomi, under the guidance of Sri Sri Vallabha Chaitanya Guruji, is developing fast. And in future with the blessings of Gayathri Mata, Tapabhomi would be a landmark in northern Karnataka.


The activities and performance may be divided in to four parts:
  • Daily
  • Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Yearly

Daily

The following Dharmik vidis are performed as follows Morning - 4 to 6:30 A.M. - Gayatri Devi`s Mahapuja with Rudrabhisheka

6:35 to 7:30 A.M.- Morning prayers starting with ONKAR (pronounced as ‘O-O-M` from deep down the larnyx resonating like sounding of large bell). Prayers, Kakadarathi, Jap ( Cleansing and sharing process by rhythmic enunciation of a mantra), Dhyana(is essential for effect of Japa), Udayaraga, Bhajan.

Palkhi Procession – (Gayatri Mata & Sri Sri Krishnendra Yatigal Parikrama) - from temple to Lord Ganesh mandir – Paduka's of Sri Sri Guruji- Goshala- Lord Shanmuga - Pushkarni (holy pond ) - Navagraha – Tulsimata – rising Son God – Annapoornadevi – Homa Kund – Back

Naivedya (prasad) - sweets offered to the deity.

7:30 to 8:30 A.M. - Breakfast to all devotees who visit temple.

8:30 to 10:00 A.M. - Samuhik Gayatri Japa. (uninterupted chanting of mantra for a specified period or number ) and Upasana at Dhyana Mandir.

10:00 to 11:00 A.M. - Rest.

11:00 to 12:30 P.M. - Madhayana (noon) Pooja with Abhishekham (rudra, Purushukta, Shreesukta, Ganesh Atharvashisha & Manyn Suktam).
Maha Naivedya
Mandir door’s will be closed up to 4.30 P.M

12:30 to 2:30 P.M. - Annadan – Pasadam to all.

2:30 to 4:30 P.M. - Rest.

4:30 P.M. onwards - Tea to all

4:30 to 6:30 P.M. - Sandhaya Puja – remaining same as morning. Mandir doors will be closed at 8.30 P.M.


Weekly

Every Sunday Special Pooja.

Gayatri Mantra is ‘Savita`. Savita is the Cosmic Power of God which provides energy to all animate & inanimate system of the Cosmos. So Savita is Sun and his day is Sunday.

4.00 to 6.30 A.M – Luke warm water- Milk – Abhisheka – offering to Mata. Dress, ornaments, flowers and garlands of varieties, Homa- Havan- (a pledge before Almighty symbloized in the flame of Havan).

6.30 to 7.30 AM - Morning Prayer as usual.

7.30 to 8.30 AM - Breakfast to all.

8.30 to 10.00 AM - Samuhik Gayathri Japa (same ).

Only on Sunday

9.00 to 12.00 AM - Kumkumarchana (from devotees with Astothara Shatanamavali),
Sahasranamavali,
Gayathri Homa.

11.00 to 12.30 PM - Madhyana Pooja. Same. Remaining routine same as every day till night.

After every 15 days

On Shasthi - Special Lord Subramanya Swamy Pooja with Bhasmarchana.


Monthly

On Poornima Day (full moon)
In the morning ‘Datta Satya Vratha’ and then 'Satyanarayana Pooja'.

On Sankasthi- (Sankat-har-Chaturthi)
Evening Lord Ganesha Pooja and Havan up to moon rise (timings are not fixed)Prasadam to all.

On Amavasya-(New Moon)
Evening Shaptashathi Parayana.


Yearly

Days of Socio religious celebrations.

Annual 2 days celebration-(Sthapana Day)
On Magha Shukla Paksha - on large scale celebration with Homas, Havanas, Hisit by Saints, Sadhakas to give blessings to devotees who attend the function in large scale. (For 2 days for all devotees Tea, Breakfast, Lunch (with sweets), Tea, Dinner(with sweets) is served).

Ramanavami – on Chaitra Shudha Navami (usual program and additional)
Akandha Namasmarana for 24 hrs., Ksheerabhishekha, Laghu Rudrabhishekha, Birthday Celebration.

Guru Poornima – on Ashad Shudha Poornima
Sri Sri Krishnendra Guruji's Akand Namasmaran for 24 hrs. (This is the additional celebration along with daily routine)

Nutan Upakarma - Uparma
Changing of Yagnopaveet (old to new) (Yagnopaveet is the sacred symbol of Gayathri, wearers of which constantly remembers the pledge he has taken to follow the doctrine of Gayathri Sadhana).

Dassehra - Navarathri festival – (for 9 days)
Special Pooja done for 9 days as it is done on Sundays.
Daily Chandi parayana, Ganga pooja.
On last day, Durgasthami, Chandi Havan (Ganga Pooja – done by Kumarikas & couple (married) at PUSHKARNI (Holy Pond consecrated by the holy waters of Ganga, Narmada, Srisailam, Rameshwaram and GangiBhavi).

Janmotsava of Sri Sri Krishnendra Yatigal – on Ashwin Krishna Dwadashi
Akandha Namasmaranam for 24 hrs., Abhishekha, Remembrance of Guru.
